Caseway builds and deploys applied intelligence systems for organizations that sit on complex, high-value documents and workflows. We partner with enterprises, platforms, and institutions to take on the R&D risk of turning messy data into usable products.

The Caseway Difference
Our platform consists of three core software products, each addressing a pain point for lawyers, companies, and individuals who need legal help.
Ask it any legal question and it returns direct answers with cited cases in seconds. By grounding its knowledge only in official court decisions (no random internet data like ChatGPT), Casey delivers reliable results. It's like having Westlaw/LexisNexis and a senior law librarian rolled into a friendly chatbot, but at a fraction of the cost (only $49/month). Accessible to lawyers and non-lawyers alike.
This software automatically extracts key information from your past documents (claims, responses, affidavits, etc.) and auto-populates new filings and form packets with a click. Launched with 4,500+ California forms out of the gate, it's quickly expanding nationwide. Through our 8am partnership, MyCase users can generate court filings without leaving their workflow. It's a workflow revolution enabling lawyers and paralegals to focus on strategy instead of paperwork.
Built for organizations that need to work with hundreds of thousands to millions of documents without compromising accuracy or control. It creates encrypted document ingestion, private indexing, and deployments that can run on-prem or in isolated cloud environments. Teams use Synthium to search, analyze, compare, and extract intelligence from large document collections—with results grounded directly in their own source material. Designed for high-stakes, regulated environments where precision, traceability, and security are non-negotiable.

Our platform consists of three core software products, each addressing a pain point for lawyers, companies, and individuals who need legal help.
A legal super-brain trained on a comprehensive, continuously growing corpus of court judgments from across Canada and the United States.

A game-changer for litigation workflows with automation and logic.

Market Timing
Legal budgets are under pressure and demand efficiency, while AI adoption is exploding industry-wide. Just a few years ago, many law firms shunned new technology like AI… But now clients expect their lawyers to leverage these tools.
Caseway combines the strengths of legacy systems (authoritative data) with the agility of modern AI (natural language answers, automation) without the cost overhead of incumbents or the risks of generic machine learning.
We're carving out a sweet spot where no one else competes effectively: midsize law firms, solo attorneys, and even business users who find Westlaw too pricey and ChatGPT too unreliable are flocking to Caseway.
Traction, Partnerships & Milestones
Our momentum is catching attention. Business in Vancouver profiled Caseway's United States expansion deal, and legal tech authority Bob Ambrogi covered our 8am partnership on LawSites. We're featured frequently in the press (Vancouver Tech Journal, CBC, Advocate Daily, etc.), building brand credibility. Caseway was named one of B.C.'s Top 5 Startups by Startup TNT—validation from our local technology community.
Integration into MyCase practice management gives us built-in access to thousands of law firms in the United States. This first-of-its-kind deal for a Canadian technology company embeds our software directly into a major U.S. legal platform. It includes revenue sharing, co-marketing, and a prominent listing in the MyCase marketplace. This means we bypass costly customer acquisition and plug into an active user base that needs our solutions. 8am's endorsement signals to the market that Caseway is battle-tested and secure.
We're collaborating with the University of British Columbia's data science PhDs on our AI research engine. This partnership with a leading Canadian university fuels our R&D and talent pipeline, keeping us on the cutting edge of AI and legal scholarship. Caseway's technology was literally born from UBC research efforts and expert guidance. This blend of academic rigor and industry insight gives us a unique innovation edge.
Since launching our beta in late 2024, we've grown to 3,500 users across Canada (mix of law firms, solo lawyers, and business users). Our monthly churn is under 2%, indicating that once users try Casey, it becomes an indispensable part of their workflow. We've seen organic viral growth through word-of-mouth in legal circles. With the upcoming free United States legal research software release, we expect top-of-funnel user numbers to surge dramatically.
