Caseway was founded by Al Vigier, a Canadian Army veteran turned technology entrepreneur.

Meet the Founder, Al Vigier
Caseway was founded by Al Vigier, a Canadian Army veteran turned technology entrepreneur.
Raised in a military family, Al spent seven years in the Canadian Armed Forces, including passing pre-selection for JTF2. That experience instilled a discipline-first mindset and a bias toward action, qualities that continue to define Caseway's culture.
After an injury ended his military career, Al moved into the legal industry as a law firm business development manager, where he helped grow the firm's revenue past $3.5M and earned BC Business 30 Under 30 recognition. He also saw firsthand how resistant document-heavy industries were to change.
That frustration led him to entrepreneurship.
In 2021, Al founded Clearway, which became the largest lawyer-review platform in Canada and the UK, serving hundreds of thousands of users per month. That experience revealed a bigger opportunity: the documents themselves were the bottleneck.
In September 2024, he founded Caseway to automate the paperwork that regulated organizations run on, and to make the data inside it usable.
