Primary-law browsing (statutes, regulations, and related collections) is available for selected U.S. jurisdictions — currently California, Florida, New York, and Texas — plus Canadian federal, provincial, and territorial collections as published into the product. Coverage continues to expand as additional collections are released.
Decisions and legislative materials are ingested from official and published court-record and government sources. CaseLite does not generate opinion text or fabricate citations. When you open a result, you are reading structured metadata and documents tied to a real source identifier from the upstream publisher.

Incoming decisions are normalized into consistent metadata fields (parties, court, dates, jurisdiction, identifiers) and full-text indexed so keyword and citation queries can retrieve them quickly.
Ranking uses relevance and available date signals. Filters help narrow by what you already know about a matter rather than requiring expert search syntax.
Duplicates, amendments, and corrections are handled in the ingest pipeline; when a source issues a corrected or superseding document, CaseLite aims to reflect the updated record after the next successful ingest for that collection.
Public document counts change as ingest jobs complete. Treat any size claim as point-in-time: verify current availability inside CaseLite browse and search rather than relying on marketing adjectives.

Canadian case law and primary law: federal plus provincial and territorial materials as published. Depth varies by court, statute set, and historical period.
New decisions and legislative updates are ingested on an ongoing basis as source systems publish them. Coverage depth and lag vary by court and jurisdiction; recent filings may appear after a processing delay.
When evaluating whether a collection is current, check the decision or consolidation date on the record itself and, for critical use, confirm against the official court or government publisher.
